The day tour, including lunch, is offer free-of-charge to students who enroll on this course before 1st March 2024.
The tour will focus on two sites:
Carrowmore Passage Tomb megalithic cemetery – 6,000 years old
Oldest megalithic cemetery in Ireland with over 30 visible megalithic tombs
Overlooked by Knocknarea Mountain that is steeped in Irish Mythology and the site of Queen Maeve’s (Meadhbh in Irish) Grave or Tomb.

Drumcliffe High Cross – 11th Century AD
St. Colmcille founded a monastery here in the 6th Century AD
In the adjoining cemetery is the grave of the famous Irish poet, William Butler Yeats (1865-1939).
