About The Author
Theresa McDonald, PhD., established the Achill Archaeological Field School in 1991. Her research over the last thirty years has ensured her place as the foremost authority on the archaeology and history of Achill. Her book entitled, Achill Island – archaeology – history – folklore (2006) has sold widely in Ireland and abroad. She has also published papers in local and international journals and her thesis on booleying in Achill, Achillbeg and Corraun was published in 2017.
